THOM MAYNE: This way. Wow, it's so . . . Now we're going to enter the first bridge, and we're looking over. Ah! Ah, it's a perfect day, isn't it?
INTERVIEWER: Is there anything in this project you felt like you really had to fight for?
[Laughter]
THOM MAYNE: That's really funny, because I've—I was tagged a bad boy years ago, and I haven't been able to dump it. And what it meant is I'm willing to fight for my ideas. And it—it—it—it disturbs some people.
